Javier became interested in photography in 90`s, influenced by independent films, MTV music videos, grunge music and post punk era.​​

​

In 2000 received a bachelor in film processing and Photography Arts in Madrid. 

In her beginnings, Javier worked as a photography technician and assistant in some of the most important Photo-Labs and Photo-studios in Madrid and continued studying a Master's degree in photojournalism and documentary photography.

​

After he receives the First Prize at the Fuji Euro Press Photo Awards in 2005, he begins working as a freelance photographer for newspapers, agencies, magazines and other publications: The Washington Post, The New York Times, Fortune Magazine, El Mundo, Financial Times, Stern Magazine, ESPN, Getty Images or Agencia EFE, among others.​

 

Javier has led master class, workshops, studies programs and conferences in some schools and photo educations center.
